The Orchestral series viola is hand carved from only select woods. We make sure the spruce has a tight grain, essential for good tone, and we use flamed maple for the back and sides. The viola is finished with an oil varnish that gives it a look reminiscent to the early viola makers. The viola is strung with perlon core strings. The outfit includes your choice of case, a Brazilwood bow with ebony frog and pearl eye, laced with Mongolian horsehair.
